Letter to President Bush

Dear President Bush:

O.K., President Bush, we broke Iraq, now we “own” Iraq, and we must fix Iraq.

You are a tough guy, you have stood firm on refusing to fail — but we have never had a PLAN to allow us to Win!

Now you have it — with Plan V — for Victory and Peace in Iraq.

We can win.

BUT only if you require Prime Minister Maliki and all the top officials of the Iraq Government to accept the Conditions of Plan V NOW — or we will indeed stop giving them the protection of our military and our Green Zone (and our financial backing).

My Iraqi employees have always told me that what Iraq needs is a “Strong Man” — a powerful leader who will take charge — and get it done.

You, sir, at this moment, are that man.

You have the instincts, you have the courage — the plain raw guts (as you have demonstrated) to see this through — not just for the existing government (the product of a flawed election).

You, Mr. President, can cause America to Win if you will take command of the situation and require Maliki and all the top officials of Iraq to accept and implement Plan V NOW especially the equal division of their Oil Wealth — among all Iraqi people — Shia, Sunni, and Kurd. This will make them heroes too — but they won’t see it that way immediately — You can and must require them to take this action.

Their reward is your commitment to keep our troops there to continue to protect and assist all Iraqi citizens as they move into their “Golden Tomorrow” — realizing the almost limitless wealth of their Oil Resources — if properly controlled and properly shared with all of Iraq’s people — through their National Government and all four States and all 18 Provinces.

You are a strong man, a committed man, and an honest man PLUS — you have more POWER right now than any human being on earth.

You can save the Iraqi people from further destruction and restore America’s reputation throughout the world by requiring their present government to install the new Plan V for their own Victory and Peace and within the framework of their own Constitution.

I would consider it an honor to help you in any way to “make this happen” and to bring about a “Happy Ending” that will finally justify your action of ridding Iraq of its brutal dictator and corrupt government.

With the help of your talented and competent staff — Secretary Gates, General Petraeus, Ambassador Crocker, Secretary Rice, Undersecretary Burns, General Pace — this can be a “done deal.”

You, sir, are a basic guy and so am I — let’s work together for the benefit of all Americans and all Iraqis and of all humans as well.

This can be the Bright Lining inside the Dark Cloud now hanging over Iraq.

I’m a confident guy too — and I think you will respond favorably to this idea.
