Citizen Paul
Who is Citizen Paul
In the early 60s, Paul Flum, now president of Goals for Americans Foundation, began an ongoing writing campaign to share his ideas and views on foreign policy with the President of the United States and Congress.
He wrote President Eisenhower about the need for national purpose, and in 1962, he published a document containing his long-range goals that outlined his vision for America’s future. He has since corresponded with every administration that followed.
As president of an international merchandising firm, his business travels took him to some 55 countries where he took personal time to visit embassies, talk to people on the street, and get a first hand view of how the politics and policies of each country affected the average citizen.
He served as president of the United Nations Association of St. Louis and in 1989 while serving on the YMCA board of directors, helped to establish YMCAs in Tbilisi, Georgia, St. Petersburg, Russia, and other cities in the former Soviet Union.
It is through love of country and commitment to America’s noblest principles that Paul Flum reaches out to Congress and the White House through publications, website commentary, correspondence, and sponsored messages in national and Congressional newspapers.
A true independent who has championed both Republican and Democratic Party candidates and administrations, he finds it impossible to silently stand by as the foundation of our country is threatened.
Thus, we introduce Citizen Paul. His Plain Talk will inspire you and provide opportunities for action.
